Information

Our location

We are located in the heart of the Geelong CBD on the corner of James Street and Ryrie Street.

Car parking options

Parking is available in James Street itself. 1 or 2 hour car parks are available for approximately $2/hour. Alternatively, longer car parking is available in the multistorey Civic Centre Car Park (corner of Little Malop Street and Gheringhap Street) or in the Little Ryrie Street Car Park (up to 4 hours) with just a short walk through the alleyway to our practice.

When to arrive for your appointment

For new patients, we recommend you arrive approximately 10 minutes before your appointment time. This allows us to welcome you and complete any necessary paperwork.

New patients will be required to fill out a Medical History Form. If you have been sent an information pack, please bring your completed Medical History Form with you. If you have not filled one out, you will be asked to on your first visit.

As a courtesy to other patients, we require a minimum 48 hours notice where possible to reschedule an appointment, otherwise a fee may be charged.

Our waiting room has a wide range of the latest magazines and daily newspapers for you to read, as well as a television and some children’s toys and books.

Payment options

Full payment is required on the day of treatment. We accept cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard or EFTPOS. For those with private health insurance including dental cover, please bring along your private health insurance card to allow direct claiming from the health funds using the HICAPS payment system.

We would like to emphasize that as dental care providers, our relationship is with you, not your insurance company.  All charges are the responsibility of the patient.  You must present your health insurance card on the day of treatment if you would like to utilize the convenience of HICAPS.

Charter of Patient Rights

James Street Dental adopts a Charter of Patient Rights which is consistent with the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights.  James Street Dental's Charter of Patient Rights can be downloaded here
